Winter is fast approaching, and you might have noticed darker, colder nights with the temperature dropping anywhere you go.
Some people feel the effects of cold weather more than others, such as those with Reynaud’s, asthma, cardiovascular conditions, arthritis, over 65’s and infants.
Older people are more affected by the cold because it is more difficult to maintain their body temperature, as past the age of 55, you lose 1% of muscle mass every year which is where the ability to maintain your body heat comes from.
With the cost of living crisis still looming, many households still feel reluctant to putting the heating on, and many are finding Winter Fuel Payments to not be sufficient.

Keeping updated on the weather is the best way to be prepared for any temperature drops, ice, and snow so you can prepare to dress appropriately and adjust your heating accordingly.
